Gowtham Muthukumaran

Gowtham Muthukumaran is an Expert in the Climate and Energy Programme. He joined SEI Tallinn in March 2022.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from India as well as a master’s degree in Business Engineering Energy from Technische Universität Berlin in Germany. He did his thesis on the topic development of hybrid power systems for rural areas. and he presented the topic at the world conference which happened in August 2021. Integration of renewable energy, energy engineering, energy market, and sector coupling are among his specialities. Previously he worked as a turbine engineer in a husk boiler power plant in India and with this, he also did various internships and workshops related to the energy field during his study period.

He is currently working on projects related to carbon-neutral transitions in Estonia by 2050.
