Chloe Pottinger-Glass

Research Associate

Chloe is a Research Associate with SEI Asia. She joined SEI in November 2021 and works across the urban and water clusters.

Chloe’s research focuses and interests are on Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), Integrated Urban Flood Management (IUFM), climate resilience, the circular economy, urban informality, and inclusive urban governance and planning. She has published research on urban governance, informality and quality of life in Bangalore, India, and on nature-based solutions in agricultural landscapes in Asia.

Her most recent work focuses upon NbS for IUFM in cities in Thailand and Vietnam, applying an economic valuation framework which reflects the full range of associated market and non-market benefits. She has also focused on NbS and green infrastructure for enhanced climate resilience in Vietnam’s secondary cities, and gender equality and social inclusion issues related to water access and management in the Eastern Highlands of Myanmar.

Before joining SEI, Chloe worked with the International Centre for Environmental Management in Hanoi, Vietnam and United Nations Office for Project Services in Yangon, Myanmar. She holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Edinburgh and an MsC in International Development Studies (Urban Development) from the University of Amsterdam.
