This evening will profile SEI’s work by screening three short films from Southeast Asia directed by SEI Asia Communications Coordinator Rajesh Daniel. Rajesh will be on hand to introduce each film.

The latest short film from Rajesh will be premiered at the event. Entitled “Across the Valley of Gold and Amber”, the film covers how communities along the Chindwin River Basin in northwestern Myanmar – who are dependent on the river for farming and fishing – deal with the far-reaching challenges of development and how it affects their daily lives. The two other films highlight floods and erosion along the Ayeyarwady River in Myanmar and organic rice farming in Lao PDR.
