Georgia Savvidou

Georgia Savvidou is a Research Associate at Stockholm Environment Institute. She is intrigued by the complexities of the energy transition and her work covers areas such as energy systems modelling, particularly in the power sector, the buildings and transport sectors modelling and global development finance.

She has previously worked on electromobility, dynamic simulations of electricity demand profiles, development aid for energy projects and the interactions between climate action and sustainable development. She has been part of the development of NDC-SDG Connections, an online tool that connects Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as Aid Atlas, an online platform for visualizing international development finance flows.

Georgia holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cyprus and a M.Sc. in Energy and Environmental Sciences from the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
