Conference: Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research

This year, the 33rd International Congress of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR) took place in St. Andrews, Scotland. Dr Raeni Raeni presented her research as part of the programme.

This conference was a gathering of academics, practitioners and researchers who focus on social, environmental and sustainability accounting and reporting.

Dr. Raeni Raeni from SEI York presented on her original PhD research, with a paper entitled “Accounting for climate change: tracking the flow of green funds and impact measurements”.

Dr. Raeni was the recipient of the 2022 Reg Mathews Memorial Prize: an annual award for the paper considered to have made the most significant contribution towards the social and environmental accounting literature published in Social and Environmental Accountability Journal. Her co-authored prize-winning paper was “Mobilising Islamic funds for climate actions: from transparency to traceability”.
