The High-level Political Forum is the United Nations’ central platform for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals. The event provides for the full and effective participation of all States Members of the United Nations and States members of specialized agencies.
The HLPF 2023, convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, will be held from Monday, 10 July, to Friday, 14 July 2023 in New York. The theme will be “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”. The HLPF in 2023 will review in-depth SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11, and 17. It will be a pre-summit for preparing for the SDG Summit to be held in September 2023.
